Jakks Pacific Company Party

On Friday December 12th my girlfriend Mackenzie and her fiance Adam invited Corey and I to her company party in Hollywood. It was by far the best company holiday party I have ever been to. Mackenzie scored us a limo to the party so we didn't have to worry about drinking and driving. Mark Rau and Justin Bartlett also joined us in the limo. No, they are not lovers! Here are some photos from our night out at Opera...

Fighting Amish & Just The Tip Holiday Party

This past Friday night my cousin Kristi organized the 3rd annual Fighting Amish Holiday Party. I guess because we added Corey's football team (Just The Tip) then the annual thing has to start back over with the 1st annual but either way it was totally worth having them join the party. The party was held at my brother's house and was potluck style which made it easy for everyone to contribute. The entire night was so much fun. Here are some pics of the awards ceremony. Corey got MRR (Most Reliable Receiver) and MVP (Most Valuable Punter). Kristi and Bartlett did the most amazing job with all of the awards. Everyone got one serious & one funny award and they were all so appropriate- it was hilarious! We also did a white elephant gift exchange which was when I got Tyrone as my gift. : )

Thanksgiving In Newport

Corey's sister Tiffany Rosenblum hosts Thanksgiving every year down at their house in Newport. I think I actually lucked out meeting an amazing guy with such a wonderful family because I still get to celebrate Christmas with my family every year- no debate! I love it! Tiffany is such a great cook too. I have gotten so many mouth watering recipes from her. The kids are so much fun to be around too. They are at great ages and into really fun things. Rachel is the oldest at 12 and loves to help out in the kitchen. I'm amazed but how smart she is and her writing ability. Ally is 10 and the basketball star of her school. She too is so responsible for her age and a joy to be around. Josh is the youngest at 7 and the only boy. He is into anything animals. He can tell you facts about the most random things all from watching Animal Planet. Here are some pics from our day down at their house.

Jmar's 30th Birthday Cruise to Mexico

Bon Voyage!!
Party Crew Before Leaving Port Last weekend was a blast. What a way to celebrate my cousin Justin's 30th birthday then on a 3 night cruise to Ensenada, Mexico!! 27 friends and family members definitely made it a weekend to remember. We set sail out of the Long Beach Port on Friday night and returned on Monday morning. I can honestly say that I have never been on a cruise before and it was so much fun. At times I felt the boat moving but for the most part its a floating city. Gambling was fun since I won but since Corey lost I think it cancels out. Boo!

Kayla & Brianna's Reggae Boat Cruise

Mackenzie, Me, Kristi, Kayla
Saturday night we went on a Reggae Boat cruise out of the Long Beach Harbor. The boat was by no means a yacht but it definitely was a sight for a fun evening out on the water with a live band. The weather was a little chilly for SoCal but once everyone got a few drinks in them it was perfect ; ) After the 3 hour cruise in the harbor Brianna's boyfriend Jay made arrangements for us all to go to a club in Long Beach called Sachi for bottle service. The place was absolutely huge with a number of different rooms and great music.

Party Time: Halloween 10/31/08

Halloween Party Kelly & Rebecca's Place For some reason adults in costumes make me laugh. Going to Kelly & Rebecca's for a house party on Friday night worked out well. We didn't have to worry about getting into a crowded bar only to wait in a long line to get drinks. Everyone came in costume and had a great time. Looking forward to next year when it is on a Saturday night! Corey dressed as "Turtle" from Entourage was the highlight of my night! The Geisha & Turtle

Hall-o-ween

Last night Corey and I carved pumpkins after a double header in flag football. I wanted to get them done last night so we would be able to enjoy them for a few nights. What do you think? Corey's pumpkin carving skills are pretty stellar and I must admit I didn't think I had it in me. We watched some show on The Food Network the other night with a pumpkin carving contest and I definitely have to give it to those guys. Pumpkin carving is not easy! My arm was killing me when we were finally finished but it was all worth it...

Camp Ronald McDonald Halloween Carnival 2008

This past Sunday we took Corey's nieces and nephew to The 16th Annual Camp Ronald McDonald Halloween Carnival on the Universal Studios back-lot. Corey's sister Tiffany and his brother-in-law David joined us too for the toy extravaganza. I can't even big to describe what a neat event this was. The company that my friend Mackenzie works for "Jakks Pacific" sponsored the carnival day in conjunction with Camp Ronald McDonald and is was such a neat thing to attend. The kids had such an amazing time getting autographs from their favorite stars, eating great food, playing carnival games, riding rides and enjoying the back-lot at Universal. I must admit this was a fun day even for me. Only in LA can you go to such an over the top Halloween Party and leave with so many carnival toy prizes that you felt like it was Christmas!

Hillbilly Ho-Down

Ah, yet another surprise party and another great weekend! Yes, Corey and I attend way too many parties. Every weekend comes and goes in a blink of an eye and next thing I know its Monday morning. I definitely wouldn't say I live for the weekends but let me tell you my life steps up a notch when the weekend rolls around. I still play co-ed football on Wednesday nights and try to exercise after work to justify my social life but its tough to keep up. Here are some pictures from our friend JP's party on Saturday night 10/25. Keli (JP's girlfriend) did such a great job keeping the party a surprise that JP actually thought that everyone forgot his 30th BIRTHDAY! I felt like we were all celebrating Halloween a week early since everyone was dressed up in Western/Hillbilly/White-Trash Clothes but I imagine Halloween could rival this party. Biscuit's Party

Corey's CrewAnother year down for Corey's good friend Steve "aka Biscuit" Charelian. Last night we went out to dinner to celebrate at Fritto Misto- this great little Italian place in Hermosa. It was actually a surprise party and let me tell you it was a big surprise for him. We had such a great time with everyone. It had been awhile since we had seen everyone from Corey's crew so it was nice to catch up.

Jersey Baby...

John & Nicole's wedding was a blast. The outdoor cermony was so beautiful. I couldn't get over the amazing colors of all the trees. I can't really say that California has true seasons so we don't get to see leaves change. The food was over top and the dancing was nonstop. Needless to say we had such a great time. Thanks guys!

Philly & New York Recap

What a fun trip! Corey and I both had such a great time. We definitely fit as much as would could into 5 days. We lucked out with great weather the entire time too. Spending the day in NYC was a big highlight. Philly is a great city too and Atlantic City was like a mini Vegas. We were all about some public transportation. I loved it... plane, train, bus, taxi and car. Check out our photos...

New Jersey Here We Come

Tonight Corey and I fly to New Jersey for a week of fun and adventure. We arrive early @ 604a Wednesday morning and head to Corey's buddy Aaron's house in Philly. Then we are off to Atlantic City for a night of wining, dining, dancing and gambling. Aaron got us a comped room at a new hotel called The Water Club which looks absolutely amazing on-line. This should be really fun. Thursday we return back to Philly for some site seeing and plan on spending Thursday night checking out Philadelphia's nightlife. Friday we are off to NYC to spend time with Corey's aunt and uncle. His Aunt Terri has made plans for us to have lunch in The Delegates Dining Room at The UN. Should be very neat to check out. Weather permitting we are going to tour Greenwich Village and SoHo then meet back up with Corey's uncle for dinner. Saturday we have a wedding back in Jersey for our friends that live here in Hermosa with us. This too should be a blast. I will post tons of pics once I return. Miss you all!!

Rebecca's 30th Birthday - 80s Bicycle Pub Ride

I'm having trouble updating my blog after events happen so bare with me as I recap Saturday October 4th... Lets start with saying what a momentous day it was for may reasons. The most important of all was the celebration of my good friend Rebecca Lum's 30th Birthday Party!! The reason I say it was so momentous is because it was full of a few "firsts" and was very "victorious". A "first" account not to ever be forgotten was the transporting of 20 bodies and 20 bikes in the back of a 14ft U'Haul. Never would I begin to justify what we had done to any police officer but holy funny. Yes, we put people in the back of a U'Haul dressed in 80s clothes without any air or light. Oops! The good news is everyone made it there safely. The next "first" was our bike ride from Santa Monica to Hermosa Beach. Without stopping at bars the ride is apprx. 15 miles and is an absolute beautiful ride b/c it is along the beach. We did, however, stop at 6 bars on the ride. Overall everyone was still entacked when we got back to Hermosa. The reason I consider this day "victorious" is because we only had a few bumps and bruises along the way and no major accidents. Rebecca had an amazing time with all of her friends and family so this made for a day to remember forever!!
