Mackenzie's 30th Bowling Extravaganza!!!

I'm starting to think we don't know how to do anything unless it is a group of 20+. Mackenzie's birthday party was this past Saturday night so a big ole group of us went to this great Italian restaurant called Alejos for dinner before heading to bowling. The entire night was so much fun! Not only did Mac rent a 15 passenger van to take us all from her house to the restaurant and bowling but she also hired us a driver. Completely over the top and not necessary but definitely so much fun. I guess a van is cheaper then a limo!!

Curtains Make Such A Difference...

I can't get over what a difference curtains can make. MLK was a big day for Corey and I shopping for the perfect curtains for our dining room. After going to Ally's basketball game (Corey's niece), Tiffany joined Corey and I in the curtain shopping extravaganza. We went to an amazing home goods store called The Great Indoors. They have anything you can imagine for your home. It took us a couple of hours but Corey and I are really happy with our choice. Check out the before and after photos. First Party After The New Year...

Pre-Party At Kristi & Justin's House
Saturday night was the first big party our group has had since the new year began. What better way to party then to celebrate my cousin Kristi's 30th Birthday in Hollywood. Kristi's husband, Justin, coordinated a party bus to take us from the southbay to Hollywood so no one would have to drink and drive. We went to this fairly new club called The Green Door and Mackenzie was able to hook all 30 of us up VIP style. It worked out perfectly! After we left the bar the bus took us back to Kristi and Jmar's for the after party. Overall Kristi had a night to remember!!

Our 2008 Christmas Tree

Before we took down this year's Christmas tree I figured I should snap a few photos. Not our best job but it looked very neat at night lite up bright. The weather has actually been getting pretty cool at night so it was fun to burn a fire and turn down the lights in the house. We try to change up the decorating style each year so this will be a good reference for next year.

New Year's Eve @ Ian's 2008

New Year's Eve is always over rated. I learned this many years ago trying to plan the ultimate New Year's evening because they never seem to amount to what you have anticipated in your mind. So over the years I have managed my expectations. No over crowded bars waiting to get an over priced drink for hours on end. We have now figured out house parties are the best way to celebrate with friends and family. Our friend Ian was sweet enough to host the party this year at his house and it worked out great.

Christmas in Tahoe

Relaxing in Tahoe- Bailey & Wrigley Christmas Day was absolutely beautiful in Tahoe. From the moment we woke up on Thursday morning it snowed all day long. Corey, Justin (my cousin-in-law), Brian (brother) and I lucked out driving in on Tuesday night with clear roads. We were a bit worried it was going to be snowing but fortunately the weather held out for us. My aunt and uncle did an amazing renovation to the kitchen and living room over the summer that turned out amazing. The snow hikes were great and just hanging out playing games and watching movies was perfect!
