Santa Barbara Wine Tasting - Kelly's 30th

Before I forget I have to recap Kelly's incredible day of fun in Santa Barbara wine tasting. J.Jilek did such an amazing job planning a incredible girls day trip to Santa Barbara. Even though we had to fight some rain, what better way to celebrate Kelly's 30th birthday then in a limo wine tasting our way around SB. After shoving off at 9a from Kel & Reba's place, we hit up 3 wineries... Fiddlehead, Melville and Foley then made our way back to Manhattan Beach for the final celebration at The Northend. Definitely a spectacular way to spend time with girlfriends. Happy Birthday once again Kelly!

Christmas 2009 in Redondo Beach!!

This year Corey and I stayed at home for both Christmas & New Years and let me just tell you how relaxing and enjoyable it was not to travel. I hosted my first official Christmas dinner too so that made our holiday even more special. Since our wedding is coming up in 6 short months Corey and I decided not to exchange gifts this year. Instead we got each other gym memberships. I to Barry's Bootcamp in West Hollywood and Corey to our local 24 Hour Fitness. We promised ourselves come Jan 4th (first Monday of the year) that we do absolutely everything in our power to get slim for our destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & Happy New Year!!

Saturday night Mac & Adam hosted their very first dinner party at their home and Mac was able to bust out a bunch of her wedding presents for the first time. Mac made some killer appetizers and an incredible pot roast. After dinner of course we busted out the Wii. Thanks for having us all over!!

Saturday Thanksgiving- Why Not?

Not only did Corey and I get to celebrate Thanksgiving down at his sister's house on Thursday but we also got to celebrate it again on Saturday with extended family and friends. Aunt Carol and Kristi did a great job designating people to bring food items and the house was not short of any wine. The annual Christmas pirates gift exchange had to take place at Thanksgiving since everyone will be spread out for Christmas. Kristi & Justin are traveling the furthest to Thailand for 3 weeks so we bid them safe travels. The holiday season is officially underway!

Lucky Strike Didn't Know What Hit Them

Thanks to Trey for getting a new job at Lucky Strike in the corporate marketing department, Jmar's 31st birthday was a night full of bowling, cocktails and a late night music set back at Trey & Brian's house. I must admit my bowling game was by far the worst performance since taking bowling in college (yes I took bowling as a class in college). I blame Danny though since his Wii has been broken for the past 8+ months and I haven't been able to condition my bowling arm.

Sorry for the delayed posting but I've been busy planning our wedding. =) Kayla's birthday @ Boogaloo was on Friday November 6th so we all got together for some dinner and dancing. For those of you that live here or have come to visit, you all know that it doesn't take much to get our friends together. Kayla turning a year older, however, calls for an extra special celebration.

Saturday night was super fun thanks to the great Halloween Party that Bartlett & Ansley threw at there place. They totally went all out on their costumes and decorating the house. Corey once again cracked me up with his "Garth" costume. For someone that doesn't really like to dress up he sure gets into character. Hard to believe its the end of October!!

Brian's 30th Birthday- San Diego

Let's just say I hope Brian had as much fun @ his 30th birthday weekend as all of his friends did. Thanks to Jmar's planning our weekend at The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego was a blast. In the heart of the Gas Lamp District we laid by the pool, sipped on cocktails and watched college football during the day on Saturday then hit up the local club scene.

Puzzling

Thanks to Bartlett & Ansley we have become puzzlers. Yep, you heard me. Corey and I completed our first 1,000 piece puzzle. We started on Sunday morning and completed it on Wednesday evening (1 full day plus 3 nights after work- not bad). I haven't worked on a puzzle since I lived in Florida and spent lots of time at my grandparent's house. I forgot how challenging and frustrating a puzzle can be but Corey and I felt so accomplished once it was all done. : )

Our wedding date has officially been set!! Corey and I just got back from finding our beautiful wedding resort. Its on for... Sunday June 6th, 2010 and will be the day we will never forget. Not only did we find our wedding resort but we were also able to relax and enjoy the sunny hot weather for 4 days in Mexico.

Rebecca & Chris Take California

This past weekend one of my best friends from childhood (Rebecca) and her husband (Chris) came to visit Corey and I for a long weekend. From football watching to celebrating Danny's 35th birthday we had a blast hanging out with them. The weather was nice so we did a touristy day checking out the Santa Monica promenade on Friday and played volleyball ACES on the beach Saturday morning. They even got to see Trey perform at The Shore on Friday night which was really fun especially since Becca, Trey and I all went to high school together. Here are some photos capturing the weekend. Can't wait to see you guys again in late January. Thanks for coming out!!

Lake Havasu Weekend

What a fun weekend with friends celebrating Erin's 27th birthday in Lake Havasu- Arizona! Thanks to Erin's meticulous planning we had two huge suites at The London Bridge Resort and two pontoon boats to cruise the lake on all weekend. From hangin at the sandbar to cliff diving at Copper Canyon we had a blast. The only tragedy was Adam losing his wedding ring on the first day while putting on sunscreen. We were just about ready to pull away from the docks and into the water it flew. Such a bummer for Adam but we made sure he had so much fun to temporarily forget about it.

Wednesday Night I met Erin up at The Grove for a little free Gavin Rossdale Concert. Not only was Gavin's performance fun but we also got to see Gwen and the kiddos since Erin got us up front VIP style. Such a fun little girls night- Thanks Erin!!

Birthday Weekend - Trey, Brit & Bob's

This weekend was a triple threat celebrating 3 birthdays each on a separate day. Friday kicked off with a concert by Trey and a party for him at The Side Door & Fonz's in Manhattan Beach. I know Trey had a blast because he only remembers the first half of the evening thanks to the tequila shots. Nice work Trey!

Saturday we moved on to celebrate Brittany's birthday with a surprise BBQ at their place. Yes, JWinters planned yet another surprise party for BritBrit (does every year- I love it!) Big success since Brit was the winner of LRC and picked up a quick $50+ bucks.

Sunday was Bob's (Corey's dad) big day with a BBQ around the pool with family. I know Bob had a great time too since all he had to do was show up. Big success and I know the kids had fun as well.

We're Engaged!!

Yes, it's true! Corey popped the question early Sunday morning and asked me to marry him!! We both are beyond thrilled. Not only did he surprise me (truly he surprised me which is hard to do) but he incorporated both of our families into the surprise. Here are a few pics from one of the best days of my life. Proposal and Engagement Party all in one day. I could not have envisioned more fun. Thanks Corey- you are without a doubt my best friend in the world!!
